Dried blossoms and leaves encounter fragments of my earlier material pictures. In this way, painting and photography enter into a silent dialogue. The plants combine with the structures, colors, and imperfections of the picture surfaces to create new pictorial spaces. My photographs do not aim to depict botanical objects. Rather, they tell of time, memory, and transience, and reveal the silent beauty of the imperfect.
