One motif – two manifestations. Through the transformation into negative, the familiar blossom is transferred into a new visual reality. Light becomes darkness, darkness becomes light. What remains unchanged is the form; what changes is our perception. I am fascinated by this transition between visibility and transformation. The photographs do not document the blossom itself, but rather the process in which reality is transformed into a new, almost painterly visual language.
