Bright, almost disembodied thistles emerge from deep black. Between them, individual plants condense into warm, golden-brown traces. The superimposition and inversion of light and dark create an image that shows less a real plant than its memory. The blossoms seem to appear and dissolve simultaneously. Past and present, visible and hidden, overlap to form a fleeting existence.
