Dried blossoms and leaves encounter fragments of my earlier material pictures. In this way, painting and photography enter into a silent dialogue. The plants combine with the structures, colours and damage of the picture surfaces to form new pictorial spaces. My photographs are not intended to depict botanical objects. Rather, they speak of time, memory and transience, and make visible the quiet beauty of imperfection.
