Dried blossoms and leaves meet fragments of my earlier material pictures. Thus, painting and photography enter into a silent dialogue. The plants combine with the structures, colors, and imperfections of the image surfaces to form new pictorial spaces. My photographs are not intended to depict botanical objects. Rather, they speak of time, memory, and transience, and make the quiet beauty of the imperfect visible.
