Dried blossoms and leaves encounter fragments of my earlier material pictures. Thus, painting and photography enter into a silent dialogue. The plants combine with the structures, colors, and imperfections of the picture surfaces to form new pictorial spaces. My photographs are not intended to depict botanical objects. Rather, they tell of time, memory, and transience, and make visible the quiet beauty of the imperfect.
